How it works

How our appliance removal service works

  1. Book your collection

    Choose your appliances from the price list and pick a slot. You get an email confirming the date.

  2. Get it ready

    Make sure appliances are disconnected from water, gas and power. Defrost fridges and freezers the day before.

  3. We carry it out

    Our two-person team removes it from wherever it is. No need to drag it outside.

  4. WEEE recycling

    Appliances are taken to licensed facilities where metals, plastics and refrigerant gases are recovered safely.

  • Fridges, freezers and fridge freezers
  • Washing machines and tumble dryers
  • Dishwashers, cookers, hobs and extractor hoods
  • Microwaves, kettles, toasters and small appliances
  • TVs, monitors and computers
  • Air-con units and exercise machines

We cannot take

  • Raw food and meat waste (Category 3 animal by-products)
  • Asbestos, licensed or unlicensed
  • Needles, sharps and clinical waste
  • Chemicals, solvents and most paints
  • Gas bottles and pressurised containers

Why you cannot put appliances in the bin

Electrical items are classed as WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) and must be recycled separately by law. Fridges and freezers also contain refrigerant gases that must be recovered by a specialist facility, which is why they cost a little more to dispose of.

You can take it to a household recycling centre, although some charge fees or limit what you can bring. Or book our appliance removal and we collect, transport and recycle it for you.

No. We collect from kitchens, utility rooms and garages. If you will not be home you can leave them outside for collection.

We are not able to disconnect gas or plumbed-in water supplies. Please arrange for this to be done before we arrive.

No. Electrical items must be recycled separately. We collect small items like kettles and toasters alongside larger ones.

You get an email confirming your collection date. On the day we text you an estimated arrival time, usually with at least 30 minutes’ notice.

Yes, as long as our team has not already set off to you. Give us as much notice as you can and any refund due is issued within 5 working days. Call 0800 002 5490 to make a change.
