How our man & van service works
Book your collection
Pick a load size or a flexible load and choose a same-day or scheduled slot. No need to be exact about volume, we can adjust on the day.
We check the load on arrival
Our team looks at your waste and confirms the price before we lift anything. More or less than expected? We re-quote there and then.
We load and sweep up
We carry everything out from inside, upstairs, the garden or the garage and leave the area tidy.
Responsible disposal
Your waste goes to a licensed facility and you get a digital Waste Transfer Note as proof.

- Electricals (WEEE): cookers, microwaves, TVs, computers
- Bagged household and office rubbish
- Cardboard, packaging and plastics
- Garden waste
- Small amounts of rubble, soil and plasterboard
We cannot take
- Raw food and meat waste (Category 3 animal by-products)
- Asbestos, licensed or unlicensed
- Needles, sharps and clinical waste
- Chemicals, solvents and most paints
- Gas bottles and pressurised containers

Why a man and van beats a skip
A skip needs a permit if it goes on the road, sits outside for days, and you pay for the whole thing whether you fill it or not. You also have to do all the lifting yourself.
With our man and van service the team arrives, loads everything in one visit and leaves. Loads are priced by volume, so if you only have half a van of rubbish, you only pay for half a van. For bricks, soil or rubble in large amounts, a skip bag is usually better value.
Fixed loads or a flexible load?
Fixed loads are paid up front at a set price, which is ideal if you will not be home or know roughly how much you have. Flexible loads are priced per cubic yard on the day, so they suit jobs where the amount is hard to judge. As a rough guide, two small washing machines take up about one cubic yard. Not sure? Heavy materials such as bricks, rubble, soil and plasterboard can be taken in small quantities.
For health and safety reasons we cannot collect raw food or meat waste, asbestos, needles or clinical waste, or chemicals, solvents and most paints. If you have specialist waste, call us and we will point you to the right service.
No. We collect from inside, upstairs, gardens and garages as long as the area is safe to reach. If you will not be home, leave it somewhere we can get to.
Yes. Choose an all-day slot (our most efficient, lowest-emission option), a morning or afternoon slot, or a 2-hour slot. If a previous job runs over we will keep you updated.
You get an email confirming your collection date. On the day we text you an estimated arrival time, usually with at least 30 minutes’ notice.
Yes, as long as our team has not already set off to you. Give us as much notice as you can and any refund due is issued within 5 working days. Call 0800 002 5490 to make a change.
